Siliguri Police taking stringent action against sale of illegal liquor

Siliguri: The Siliguri Police said keeping up with our commitment to stopping the sale of illegal liquor in the city, we are continuing our raids under different police stations.

Today, acting on specific input officers and men of Bhaktinagar Police Station conducted a raid at Shantinagar aamtala in the house of one Chiranjit Sarkar and recovered 1.68 bottles of contraband liquor from his possession. The accused person has been arrested and taken into custody.

Similarly, officers and men of Bagdogra Police Station also conducted a raid at Khudiram Pally and recovered 40 bottles of illicit liquor from the possession of accused Dulal Palit and Pramod Sharma. Both the accused persons have been arrested and taken into custody.

A specific case in each police station has been initiated separately and all the accused persons will be forwarded to the Ld Court.
