T1 Ambattur Police team arrested 2 accused involved in robbery

Chennai: On 04.06.2021, Lakshmi, (F/60) of Ambattur, while walking near Punjab National Bank ATM, Red Hills Road, Ambattur, was intercepted by unknown persons who intimidated her by brandishing a knife and snatched “Thali Chain” items from her neck and fled away. In this regard, Lakshmi lodged a complaint at T1 Ambattur Police station.

A police team led by Inspector of Police T1 Ambattur Police Station investigated the case with help of CCTV footage. The Police team arrested the accused 1) Balu alias Boobalan, (M/21) of Red Hills and 2) Sivaji (M/27) of Red Hills. 2 sovereigns gold including a gold reed tube and a coin were seized by the police from the possession of the accused. Legal action is being pursued against them.
