Kerala CM to inaugurate first drone forensic lab and research center

Thiruvananthapuram: The first drone forensic lab & research center is to be set up in India under the leadership of Kerala Police and will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala Mr. Pinarayi Vijayan on August 13, 2021, at 11.30 am.

With the increasing use of drones in almost all parts of the country, scientific testing of drones, testing of technical information, drone development, and mobile anti-drone systems to meet the various needs of the police force are of paramount importance. Realizing this situation, the Kerala Police will start a new unit under the Cyber Dome, the Kerala Police Drone Forensic Lab & Research Center. The state-of-the-art lab is located at Peroorkada SAP Camp. The official inauguration of the Research Lab, followed by the Drone Expo and Air Show will be held as part of the event.
