In Tamil Nadu Crimes Against Women Down: NCRB Report

CHENNAI: SEPTEMBER 1: National Crime Record Bureau data has said in its report that crimes against women have come down in Tamil Nadu in 2015 when compared to the previous year, 2014, report reveals. From 6,325 cases reported in 2014, the number of cases went down to 5,847 in 2015. This follows the national figures that has come down from 3, 21, 993 to 3, 09,549. The number of rape cases has decreased from 459 to 421 and Madhya Pradesh reported 4,391 cases, followed by Rajasthan with 3,644 cases. Cases of kidnapping and abduction women have also come down from 1,502 to 1,335 in 2015. Cases of cruelty by husbands has come down from 2,103 to 1,900 last year.]]>
