CHENNAI, SEPTEMBER 9: The railway Police in Chennai have begun awareness campaigns among rail users to reduce future accidents and have intensified their efforts to enlighten the railway patrons about the perils of ignoring rail safety. The trespassing incident through a gap in the boundary wall along the track near Nungambakkam that led to the killing of four persons led to an awareness campaign at the station on Thursday, an RPF official said. “We are advising people not to cross the railway tracks. We made public announcements, and distributed pamphlets on do’s and don’ts,” railway police official said.
