CHENNAI: Two way traffic was restored back after five years at Anna Nagar, Chennai from Thursday. The traffic plan was changed to accommodate the activity for Chennai Metro Rail construction. Second Avenue and a part of Shanti Colony became one way; this was changed to again back to two ways on Thursday, the restoration of traffic back to two ways was a big relief to motorists and residents of Anna Nagar Now motorists coming from Roundtana cannot take right to enter Shanti Colony but  instead they have to go up to Anna Arch through the Anna Arch road and take left to reach Shanti Colony, but this arrangement is also temporary one and is likely to change soon, a traffic poice official said. While this was expected to ease congestion, commuters struggled to enter and exit Anna Nagar on the first day of this traffic plan. The Chennai Metro Rail work is still going on and the stretch from Thirumangalam to Nehru Park is likely to be opened in a few months, said a traffic police official.]]>
