Tejesh Sudheer, Dr Sudheer’s son said his father will return to Chennai after completing the formalities. Hundreds of students from Madras Medical College (MMC) continued their protest for the fifth day claiming that the case was foisted to force him pay more money to a money lender here. Dr Sudheer was arrested from his residence by the UP Police in a cheating case filed against him in Lucknow. “Dr Sudheeer had borrowed `20 lakh from one M Kamaraj alias Kanthuvatti Kamaraj in 2011, but Sudheer ended up paying more than the interest and the actual amount. He was harassed by Kamaraj, when he refused to pay more money, who in return had instigated his accomplices Sarfaraz Ahamed and Piyush Mishra in UP to file a false cheating case in Aliganj against Dr Sudheer,” a family member of Sudheer.
