NOIDA: The district administration of New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (Noida) has decided to act in coordination with the Police to resolve the issue of increasing traffic congestion. Senior Police officials and district magistrate NP Singh on Friday evening discussed issues related to resolving traffic congestion. Mr Singh said, “Police officers concerned must do their best to ensure that residents are not hassled by traffic. Congestion-prone spots in the district must be attended to immediately”. Police Control Room (PCR) vans were seen removing encroachments from areas such as Sector 18, Brahmputra and Ganga markets on Saturday.

Residents’ welfare associations (RWAs) have also approached Police and district administration to solve the issue of traffic jams.
Sector 37, Labour chowk, Bhangel and other areas are congestion-prone spots, the district administration has identified. Mr Singh said, “Police personnel must be deployed at spots where there are traffic congestion during peak. A plan should be chalked out and the report submitted to the Noida authority and the administration so that we can find a solution to the problem”. Noida authority officials were directed by N P Singh to monitor traffic movement in both Noida and Greater Noida. The District Magistrate (DM) said, “Traffic congestion can be solved with the help of Police cooperation, administration and authority”.]]>
