2 held in ATM fraud case

The Hansi police today arrested two youths on the charge of involvement in around 150 cases of ATM fraud in Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi and other states. The police said the accused, identified as Sandeep of Kanoh village and Sanjeet of Thurana village in Hisar, had frequently looted several persons. The police recovered 54 ATM cards from their possession. CIA incharge Narender Singh said the police arrested the accused from Hansi while acting on a tip-off. They had teamed up to dupe gullible persons at ATMs, he said. The police said the accused used to stand near ATMs and switch cards on the pretext of helping those facing a problem in cash withdrawal. ]]>
