Sangrur: The Dhuri Police have arrested two persons who were engaged in swindling money from people. With the arrest of the duo, the police have busted a gang of fraudsters. Dhuri DSP Mr. Mohit Aggarwal said, Gurdeep Singh from Punwal had lodged a complaint with the police on April 20 stating that some persons had taken Rs. 6.45 lakh from him on the pretext of getting him Rs 40-lakh loan at subsidized rate of interest for dairy farming. The accused did not provide him any loan. When Gurdeep asked the accused to return his money they refused. The DSP said that the accused Pawan Kumar from Amritsar and Manoj Kumar have been arrested the police have recovered Rs. 1.13 lakh from them. The balance amount is with their accomplice Raman Kumar. Efforts are on to arrest him too. Raids are being undertaken in this regard.  ]]>
