Hyderabad: On Wednesday, Rachakonda police arrested a culprit who pretended to be cop and plundered couples in isolated places. The fake policeman is identified as Chintala Chandu, who was earlier caught for looting a couple for Rs2,000. He is a driver, aged 38, hailing from Medipally, Uppal. According to Police report, Chandu is a transport businessperson. He started doing such activity after a man had cheated his Sister. Therefore, he started hating lovers and indulging in robbery. Once again, he was caught and sent to judicial custody for intimidating a couple and looting money from them. After his release, he continued his business and later changed his profession into fish business at his native place in Mallapur, Yadari. However, it turned out to be a failure. Therefore, he decided to leave for Hyderabad and identified isolated places near Outer Ring Road (ORR) from where he could burgle couples of gold and cash in the guise of police officer. Once again, on Wednesday, CCS Police, with the help of Abdullapurmet police, arrested Chandu while he was found under suspicious circumstances at ORR Service road, LB Nagar. During interrogation, Chandu admitted that he had committed around 30 illegal offences.  ]]>
