Police registered a case against a woman procurer

ARA: Patna Police arrested a woman procurer and her male accomplice. The woman had taken a junior girl aged 12, on the pretext of arranging for her education, but she was forcefully asked to indulge in the flesh trade activity for about a month. The girl managed to escape from sex racket last week and after reaching home she narrated her ordeal to the family members.   Police said that the accused woman acted as an agent of a pimp in Patna. She was paid about Rs 1500 to Rs 6000 for forcing the girl to indulge in the sex racket. She was so daring that she even along with her male accomplice had gone to get back the child when she escaped from the place. At that juncture, local and her family members caught both the culprits and handed over into the hands of police. According to the ordeal narration of the victim, she was kept in a house near Mithapur bus stand initially and later she was taken to Lucknow and the residence of an engineer at Ara. Following which she was taken to a flat near Secretariat in Patna. A case had been registered under the POCSO Act at the Town Police Station, Ara on July 19 in accordance with the complaint made by the victim’s brother. The victim also informed that there were many more tormented young girls who had been continuously forced to indulge in flesh trade activity.
