Mumbai Police seized Rs. 1.6 lakh of banned MD Drug

MUMBAI: The police said on Tuesday, Imtiyaz Ahmed Rangoonwala (42) was held for alleged hold of the banned Mephe Drone (MD) drug worth Rs 1.6 lakh in the Dongri area in Mumbai.

Police officials arrested Imtiyaz Ahmed Rangoonwala on Meisheri Road and seized 55 gm of MD, worth Rs 1.6 lakh, on late Monday night.

Assistant commissioner of police Avinash Dharmadhikari said, “Imtiaz is said to be working for drug seller Shoaib Pathan and also he should not early illegal record.”   A case has been filed under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, he added.
