Thanjavur Police have recovered 22 stolen statues and arrested 4 people

Thanjavur: The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. Anil Kumar, said that 22 statues, including 1 Imbon statue, have been stolen from the Adiswara Swami Jain Temple in Karandan in Thanjavur district. In connection with this, a special team that was formed which was headed by Sub-Inspector Mr.Sukumaran arrested four persons involved in the abduction of the statue on 07.03.2020 and the statues were recovered from their possession.

Deputy Inspector General of Police, Thanjavur, Dr. Thirukkumar IPS, and Thanjavur District Superintendent of Police S.S. Maheshwaran presented the certificate of appreciation Dated 09.03.2020 to the police officers for their outstanding performance.
