Rayagada police help migrants travel to their hometowns

Rayagada: Rayagada is a district in southern Odisha, a state in India, which became a separate district in October 1992.

In view of the Lockdown and due to the non-availability of work and money to carry on their livelihood 185 Migrants of Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand came to Kereda BCP, Rayagada on foot since yesterday evening. The Rayagada police have assisted these migrants to reach their destinations by organizing busses to take them to their respective destinations. Two babies were also part of the migrants.

The Odisha DGP Mr. Sunil Roy IPS appreciated the Rayagada police for outstanding performance in dealing with the migrants and assisting them to reach their destinations.
