Kolkata Police’s First Woman Officer-In-Charge Dies in Road Accident

Kolkata: The first woman officer-in-charge (OC) of Kolkata Police died in a fatal car accident in Hooghly district on Friday. Commanding Officer of the Twelfth Battalion, Siliguri Ms. Devashree Chatterjee met with an accident and lost her life.  She has worked in Kolkata Police for a long time with efficiency and reputation. She was the Deputy Commissioner of Calcutta before going on deputation to the West Bengal Police. Currently, she works as a Commanding Officer of the Twelfth Battalion, Siliguri in the State Police. She has also shown her skills in the state police. Ms. Debashree died in a road accident at Dadpur in Hughli on Friday. Her bodyguard and the driver of the car also lost their lives. We are saddened by this tragic event.
