Kochi Police provided tight security to work on LPG terminal

Kochi: The Kochi Police has provided tight security to the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), which is in the process of establishing a cooking gas receiving jetty and storage facilities on Puthuvype Island. The work on the project resumed after a gap of about three years with tight police protection. Meanwhile, local residents, under the aegis of an organization started protesting against the facility and mounted a campaign to stop the work. The locals have decided to block the panchayat office tomorrow and march to the project site on Saturday.
