Chhattisgarh: An awareness program was organized on 07.01.2020 for the prevention of crimes against women and children at the Saraswati Shishu Mandir Madanpur, New Vivekananda Convent Higher Secondary School and Government Higher Secondary School Madanpur in Kharsia police station area.The women staff from the Women’s Defense Team and Kharsia police station gave the awareness to the students and the female staff of the educational institutions. The Police told that the actions of anti-social elements should not be tolerated the action should be taken at any cost by giving information to the parents, teachers or the police without any delay or hesitation.

The police said the morale increases only if the wrongdoers are not retaliated initially.The district police is very sensitive about girl students, women, and children.The law provides for severe punishment for criminals in such crimes and told them to cooperate with the police for making a better society.The Police told the young children to never fall into any kind of greed. In the program, members of the women defense team gave information about the rescue in the crowd, bus and train.

The students were explained in detail about Cyber Crime Self Defense, Bad Touch, Good Touch and detailed information about the work of Police Women Defense Team. Any type of crime should be immediately reported to the police through Dial 112, 100 (Police Control Room) and 1091 (Women’s Helpline) and 1098 (Child Helpline), among other means.The policewomen defense team inspired the girls to move towards self-defense. The Program was attended by 278 children from Saraswati Shishu Mandir Madanpur, 745 in New Vivekananda Convent Higher Secondary School and 843 in Government Higher Secondary School Madanpur.
