Patiala: A 29-year-old man, who had been smuggling drugs since 2012 from Delhi to Patiala had been arrested. Besides, police recovered intoxicant drugs, cash, and gold from his possession including a diary that gives detail information about his dealings. He is identified as Navjot Singh. According to Senior Superintendent of Police, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) had received information about the illegal dealings that had been going on in the districts of Patiala and Sangrur. Accordingly, they found out that he was the resident of Bazigar Basti, Dhuri in Sangrur district and caught him. Police also recovered 100gm heroin, Rs 3.25lakh, 190gm gold, some drug polls from him and Rs 66lakh from his and family’s bank account. During the further investigation, police found out that his wife also was involved in the case and had tried to transact the money from his account but she was too prevented. The diary police recovered provided the information about 30 persons who had a connection with the related case. The police registered a case against him for his illegal dealings.]]>
