The police have successfully managed to seize the pistol of the unidentified man used in the alleged firing of JNU student leader Umar Khalid on Monday who allegedly shot at him outside the Constitution Club of India in Delhi. Umar was at the Club to attend an event titled Khauff Se Azaadi, organised by the United Against Hate group. He however managed to escape unhurt. A case has been registered with the Delhi Police under sections of an attempt of murder and Arms Act. According to reports, CCTV footage of the suspect has been released where the suspect can be seen running away from the incident spot. The footage is from outside the Vitthalbhai Patel Road in Delhi. Khalid on Tuesday urged the administration to provide him security cover in a statement released by him.
