Officials probing the December 31 Elgar Parishad case said that they will take the case to its ‘logical end’ using ‘electronic’ evidence, a day after the Supreme Court ordered that five activists arrested in connection with by the Pune police be kept under house arrest. Despite the apex court order with officials working on further leads, investigation will continue in the case, K Venkatesham, Pune Police Commissioner, said on Thursday. The Pune Police Chief added that they will continue to investigate the case and will take it to its logical end. They have got some leads about people’s links with the banned organisation CPI (Maoist). He said that investigating officials have strong ‘digital evidence’ which will be submitted to the court.
