When a large crowd, consisting of locals and tourists, gathered to witness the cultural events during the ongoing Dasara festivities in Mysuru organised as part of the street festival the incidents of several women who complaining of being stalked, sexually harassed and molested reportedly occurred Monday. Several women took to social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to share their experiences during an event of the 'Open Street Festival' held at the Krishnaraja Boulevard. Mysuru Police Commissioner A Subramanyeswara Rao said that they have not received any formal complaint. He said that Police were scrutinising footage obtained from CCTV cameras in the area. They are looking for some specific information and are going through the CCTV videos. So far they have not come across (any such incident) from the footage they have. they need confirmation on that," he said, adding that police were trying to identify the victims. Commissioner Rao said that so far, they haven't got any specific information except for four tweets saying they were molested or harassed. They (the women) just went home and put up a tweet.
