East Sikkim District Police seized Drugs during vehicle check, registered case

East Sikkim: In continuation of efforts by the Police to crack down on drug abuse, the team of the Ranipool Police Station of East District seized contraband on Wednesday. During routine vehicle checking near Seti pool, the police found that the behavior of occupants was suspicious. There were 4 occupants in the vehicle. On conducting the vehicle check the Police found a box covered with grass. As soon as the police found the box, 2 occupants ran away. 360 capsules and 8 cough syrup bottles were seized. A case under SADA and NDPS was registered. A manhunt was launched soon after and both were apprehended on Thursday early morning. 360 capsules and 8 cough syrup bottles were seized.
