Bengaluru : A BBMP health inspector was caught by the Lokayukta police on Saturday while accepting a bribe for license renewal.

Health Inspector Ramaiah is the arresting officer in BBMP division of CV Raman Nagar. A person named Subrahmanya had applied to renew the trade license of a wellness spa in Indira Nagar in the city. The arrested officer has demanded a bribe of Rs.18 thousand to renew the license.

Subrahmanya complained to the Lokayukta police because he did not want to pay the bribe. The Lokayukta police, who launched an operation based on this complaint, arrested the officer while he was accepting bribe.
