Uttar Pradesh Police successfully recover stolen ancient property


Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Police played an active part in the recovery of the stolen books from an ancient Madrasa. The police and the district administration raided the Mohammad Ali Jauhar University in Rampur from where the books were recovered.

IG, law and order, Mr. Praveen Kumar said a team from the Rampur district administration and the state police raided the university and recovered around 400 to 500 books belonging to a madrasa with its stamp. The exact number of stolen books are yet to be ascertained. The investigation is in process.
