Tamil Nadu Government transfers 44 IPS officers in the state

Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Government on Sunday transferred 44 senior police officers.  As per the order signed by Additional Secretary Mr. SK Prabhakar, Mr. A Amalraj has been appointed as the new Tambaram Police Commissioner.  Former Additional Commissioner of Police (South), Chennai, Mr. N Kannan has been appointed as Chennai IG (Armed Police).

Mr. V Balakrishnan and Mr. Avinash Kumar have been appointed as the new Police Commissioners for Coimbatore and Tirunelveli respectively, while Mr. Viru has completed his central deputation to the Intelligence Bureau in New Delhi.  Karur, Madurai, Dindigul, Thiruvarur, Ramanathapuram, Tiruvallur and Thiruvannamalai SPs have been transferred.

Two DCPs from Chennai – Mr. E Sundaravatanam from Washermenpet and Mr. R Siva Prasad from Annanagar – have been appointed as Superintendents of Police for Karur and Madurai districts respectively.
