Bengaluru: The Karnataka transport department has given a hefty discount to those who knowingly or unknowingly violate traffic rules.
Those who have settled the arrears without paying the fine and if the case is in the court, if they pay the fine before February 11, they will get 50 %discount. Chairman of Legal Services Authority B. Veerappa had appealed. Accordingly, the Under Secretary of the Transport Department has issued an order giving 50% discount. If it is not possible to pay by February 11, then the entire penalty amount will have to be paid after February 11.
Notice to the public
In view of the Lok Adalat to be held on 11.02.2023, as per the request of Executive Chairman, Karnataka State Legal Services Authority, Justice B. Veerappa, the Government of Karnataka has immediately agreed to give 50% discount for traffic fine arrears cases. Please save 50% of the fine on your vehicle and send this message to your friends to spread the word.
This is a good initiative and will benefit the public.
