Hyderabad, Telangana: In a swift and commendable operation, the Telangana Police personnel from Kukatpally Police Station and CCS Balanagar successfully cracked a ₹1 crore robbery case within 24 hours, demonstrating efficient investigation and coordination.
The incident occurred near Pillar No. 836 in Kukatpally, where a robbery involving hawala cash was reported. During the investigation, police uncovered that the crime was meticulously planned by the complainant’s own colleague, Md. Khusrouddin, who masterminded the robbery.
According to police, he conspired with driver Md. Omer Shareef and other associates to stage the robbery. The accused used red chilli powder to temporarily blind the cash couriers and escape with the money.
Investigators achieved a crucial breakthrough after tracing an abandoned scooter left at the scene, which led to the identification of the suspects. Acting swiftly, police teams tracked down the accused at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad, where they were attempting to flee to Lucknow.
During the operation, police recovered ₹77.78 lakh in cash, five mobile phones, and flight tickets, and all accused involved in the conspiracy have been taken into custody.
The successful detection was carried out by special teams under the leadership of Ritiraj, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kukatpally, whose guidance enabled the case to be solved in record time.
The swift action by the police has been widely appreciated, highlighting their dedication to combating crime and ensuring public safety.
