Coimbatore: Three persons were arrested for attempting to circulate counterfeit currency notes on Saturday night. The Saravanampatty police have seized from the accused, fake notes with a face value of 3.24 lakhs.
The Police subsequently conducted the raid on Surya Kumar’s house at Thiruvalluvar Nagar and seized counterfeit currency notes with the face value of 2.64 lakhs along with printers, computers, and Scanners.
Preliminary inquiry reveals Suryakumar was running an e-service center at Kanuvia as the business ran into a huge loss he approached Kidhar Mohammed who was arrested for Circulating counterfeit currency notes. Suryakumar learned from him the art of making fake notes and struck a deal with him and Mahendran to circulate them.
