Madhya Pradesh : Police have arrested three men and a woman for allegedly selling a 17-year-old minor girl to a man for Rs 50,000, an official said on Sunday. The incident took place in Raison district of Madhya Pradesh.
Additional Superintendent of Police Amrit Meena said that the girl, a resident of Ghughri police station in Mandla district, met the two accused Pahalvati Bai and Sunil Kushwaha when she was working at a dairy in Jabalpur. The accused lured her on the pretext of offering a better job in Mumbai.
Later the accused reached Patai village of Raison and sold the girl for marriage to a person named Vishnu Kushwaha for Rs 50,000 The official said . In the meantime, the girl’s parents have lodged a missing complaint with the Mandla police.
