Bengaluru : The Kamakshipalya police arrested three of the seven accused in connection with the robbery at the house of an auto driver on Sunday.
The arrested have been identified as Pritam alias Appu (21), Ranjith (22) and Vinay Kumar (19). The remaining four accused Praveen, Altaf, Bharat and Manoj are absconding and the police have laid a trap to trace them.
On the midnight of May 26, the accused barged into the house of auto driver Nagesh in Kamakshipalya, assaulted Nagesh and threatened him with a gun. Later, they grabbed the phone, gold jewelry and other valuables from the house and fled.
The police registered a case and started a hunt and have now succeeded in arresting three people.
In another case, the Hebbagodi police have arrested two inter-state robbers who had stolen from a house.
The accused have been identified as Saravan (39) and Dinesh (33) hailing from Tamil Nadu.
The house owners had gone out to exercise their right to vote in the wake of the state assembly elections on May 10. At this time, the accused who broke into the house grabbed the valuables and ran away. The police had registered a case and laid a trap for the accused. Two people have been arrested in connection with the case and gold jewelry worth around 9 lakhs has been seized from the accused.
