Siliguri: The 73rd Republic Day was celebrated today at Siliguri Police Commissionerate ground Mallaguri. The Indian National Flag was hoisted by Mr. Gaurav Sharma IPS, CP Siliguri after which the RD Parade was inspected by him accompanied by the parade commander Inspector Mr. Aman Raja RI SPC.
Then the parade contingent of all the police units marched through the saluting deck in “Kuch-column” along with the different tableaus relating to different social issues. The 73rd Republic Day was celebrated today at Siliguri Police Commissionerate ground in Mallaguri.
The prize for the best marching contingents was awarded to the ‘Striking Reserve Force’ of SPC and ‘Winners Squad’ of SPC in the male and female category respectively. The prize for the ‘best tableau’ was awarded to ‘Women Police Station Siliguri’.
