Thamaraikannan was transferred and posted as the new Additional Commissioner of Police, Intelligence department. Thamaraikannan has been posted in place of V. On Tuesday orders were issued by the state government which read it was transferring at least a dozen IPS officers which is the first major shuffle after the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam came to power for the second time in the recently held 2016 Assembly elections. Sudhakar, who was transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ambattur, Chennai Police. V.
