Hyderabad: In order to make rules stricter in Telengana the Cyberabad traffic police on 31 July warned motorists of seizing their vehicles if they failed to carry Aadhaar card while travelling. Keeping in view the safety and security of the citizens, the rules have been made along with the existing mandatory requirements of carrying driving licence and registration certificate, police said. The police added, “Carrying of Aadhaar card by all the vehicle drivers is mandatory in the limits of East and West Cyberabad commissionerates. Cyberabad DCP (Traffic) A R Srinivas, ‘’If anybody is found driving vehicles without carrying the Aadhaar card and other documents, the vehicle will be seized on the spot and a case will be booked under the Motor Vehicle Act sections”. “The general public is requested to carry the required documents and produce them before police when their vehicles are intercepted” the DCP added.]]>
