Bihar: As the country is going through a tough phase as it is fighting against the deadly contagious infection caused by the Coronavirus, there have been people who are spreading rumours concerning COVID-19. The police are the frontline warriors to fight against COVID-19 and in their busy schedule, they are also arresting these people who are spreading rumours.
The Police have altogether arrested 82 people so far on charges of spreading rumours and posting objectionable messages on social media related to Coronavirus, a senior officer in the Police Headquarters said on Tuesday. The Police have so far lodged 153 FIRs under different sections of IPC in this connection in the last one month, he added.
