West Jaintia Hills: The Superintendent of Police, West Jaintia Hills Mr. Lakador Syiem MPS has given an alert and caution for the general information of all Rangbah Shnong, VDP members and the general public that there has been a spate of Cyber fraud cases arising through people randomly clicking on unverified links in SMS messages and various websites which led to a number of people getting cheated in the process.
As such everyone is advised to refrain from clicking and responding to suspicious links and offers online. The general public is also requested to report any such suspicious material to the nearest Police Station for verification and necessary action.
