Rachakonda: The Commissioner of Police Mr. Mahesh Bhagwat IPS interacted with 125 police families and 300 police officers through video conference.
During the interaction, Mr. Mahesh Bhagwat IPS emphasized on the need to be psychologically strong to combat COVID-19. He stated that being confident and taking all precautions and following a healthy routine with Do’s and Don’ts to the family members of the positive persons are very crucial in facing the pandemic.
Mr. Mahesh Bhagwat IPS said, doing yoga especially Surya Namaskar, pranayama, Kaphal Bhati, meditation, gargling salt water, drinking warm water, taking warm and fresh food are very essential. He stated that the medicine kit being provided should be used as per the guidance and in case of any doubt or emergency they can contact unit doctor, Dr. Sarita, and Dr. Avinash. The Commissioner of Police further added that in case of emergency oxygen cylinders are also being kept available and the staff will also be trained to attend in emergencies. Also, he asked the police staff and their families to avail of the services of the Psychosocial counseling center to address their fears on the number 040-48214800.
The Police personal’s family were also happy for the gesture of sending immunity building vitamins, dry fruits, and medicine kit even after discharge from the hospital of isolation. Few of the officers presently positive or under home isolation have got their doubts clarified. Mr. Yadaiah, Station House Officer (SHO) Meerpet Police Station who recently was tested positive but now tested negative has stated that he and his staff are out of the COVID-19 and are ready to join the duty again. The Corona warriors Mr. Sudheer Krishna, DI, Balapur, Mrs. Sridevi, Inspector, Communication, Mr. Moulana Shaik, PC, Yadagirigutta who joined duty were also in the conference and advised the other officers which helped in boosting the confidence of the other officers. They stressed the importance of building immunity through proper diet, medicines, home remedies like steaming, warm water gargling, and being mentally strong. All the staff expressed their gratitude to Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda for personally talking to each one of them and ensuring that they are treated the best possible way and for taking good care of them.
