Rachakonda: The sleuths of the Cyber Crime Police Station, Rachakonda have arrested the cyber-stalker, Ashwaq Ali Shaik son of Shafi Shaik aged 26 years is doing business and is a resident of Maruthi Nagar, Thattiannaram, Hayath Nagar Mandal, Ranga Reddy district on 23.7.2020.
Based on the petition of the victim from Induaranya Pallvi, Bandlaguda being stalked by the accused by sending forcibly taken selfie pictures to her relatives in electronic form and also threatening her with dire consequences and thus defamed her character for not accepting his proposals. On the petition of the victim a case in Cr.No.313/2020 u/s 354D, 506, 509 IPC, and 66D of IT Act has been registered in Cyber Crime Police Station, Rachakonda.
As per the technical evidence collected, apprehended the accused at Thattiannaram, Hayath Nagar Mandal. He admitted that he knows the victim as she lives in the vicinity of his house, with an intention to befriend her and he searched her Facebook social media profile and sent add friend request to her. After she accepted his friend’s request he started chatting on her Facebook messenger and later he proposed her but she denied. Then he bore grudge on her, went to her college, and also met her in a nearby bakery. There he forcibly took selfie pictures with her, by using that photo he started blackmailing her to come with him in his car, further threatened to share that picture with her family members. On getting frightened she boarded his car from Chatanyapuri to Dilsuknagar, meanwhile, he again took a pic with a beer bottle in her hand forcibly. A few months later he again met her near her college and warned her that if she does not accept his proposal he would upload all their selfies on social media, as she ignored his words he shared all selfie pictures to her relatives through his Whattsapp and thus defamed her. The accused was produced before the Hon’ble Court for judicial custody.
The case is being investigated by Mr. N. Ramu, Inspector of Police, Cyber Crime, Rachakonda under the instruction of Mr. Harinath IPS, Assistant Commissioner of Police and under the supervision of Mr. P. Yadagiri IPS, DCP (Crimes), Rachakonda and Mr.Mahesh M.Bhagwat IPS Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda who appreciated the efforts made by the Cyber Crime in detecting the case.
