Cyberabad: The Cyberabad Police busted a sensational Kidnapping Gang which was responsible for the abduction of a Dentist for a ransom of Rs.10 Crores from Bandlaguda Jagir Village under Rajendranagar Police Station limits on 27.10.2020 at 1315 hrs. Besides arresting the accused persons, the abducted person was also rescued from the clutches of the deadly inter-state criminal gang safely.

The victim namely Mr. Behjath Hussain, aged 56 years is a dental Doctor by profession and has been residing at Kismathpur Village. Recently he has been constructing a building in Bandlaguda wherein he started a clinic on the ground floor and the above floors are kept open for lease. The prime accused Musthafa is none other than a close relative of the wife of the victim. He used to reside in Australia and during his stay in Australia he incurred huge losses and become bankrupt. While so he returned to India and started a real estate business in Pune and Hyderabad and was shuttling between the two places. He along with Mubashir Ahmed alias Khaled used to move frequently and learned to be business partners in Australia. Because of their weak financial position and as they got addicted to lavish life they set an eye on the life of the victim. They knew the financial well-being of the victim and hence they both conspired to take the path an illegal way to get huge money. In order to execute their plans, they chose the victim and they hatched a plan to abduct the victim and wanted to extort money by threatening him and his family members.
In the process of executing their plan, Mustafa became nearer to the family with a plea of getting a flat on rent for Mubhashir in the newly constructed building of the victim. Without anticipating the danger from the accused, the victim gave a flat on rent to the accused Mibashir at Bandlaguda. On the plea of visiting the flat which is under construction, the accused inquired about the financial wellbeing off of the victim and decided to abduct him to extort money.
In order to achieve their goal, they joined hands with one Ganesh alias Guniya of Pune and through him, they joined the other accused persons who hail from Pune Maharashtra viz., Sumit Chandrakanth Bhosale, Akshay Balu Vairekar, and Vicky Datta Shinde into their team by offering good amount in return. They also joined hands with one Imran and his brother Irfan who hail from Kukatpally duly offering illegal gains. The duo has formed two separate teams for execution of their plan, one for the abduction of the victim and handing over to the other team “Escort Team” which is headed by one Puneet of Udipi, Karnataka State, whose team comprising of Sanjay, Siri, and Prithvi all hail from Udipi of Karnataka. The job of the second team is to shift the abducted victim to a safe location in Karnataka state till they receive the ransom from the family.
The accused completely knowing the financial background of the family of the victim demanded Rs.10 Crore for the release of the abducted victim. They threatened the life of family members including the wife, father, and kids of the victim if the required amount is not paid within 48 hours. They threatened even not complaining to the Police.
The accused Mubhashir Ahmed alias Khalid who occupied the flat in the building of the victim at Bandlaguda had kept one Mohd. Raheem is a house keeper to know the movements of the victim. Accordingly, on 27.10.2020 at 1315 hours when the victim along with his technician was available in the clinic, the accused Raheem informed the accused Sumit, Akshay, Vicky, and Salman about the availability of a Dentist in the clinic. They immediately went inside the clinic by wearing Burkhas and pushed the victim and his technician aside duly covering their faces with a cloth and thereby injured him with toy Pistols and also threatened him with dire consequences. They put the technician inside the washroom duly tying his hands and mouth. They abducted the victim in his car and took him to Yellamma Banda of Kukatpally where they kept him till late at night and sent a voice message to the family members demanding huge cash. After late-night as per their plan, they handed over him to the Karnataka team who took him and proceeded towards Bangalore.
When the case came into the hands of the Cyberabad Police, they took it as a challenge and deployed as many as 12 teams across the state, and within hours of the incident, they worked out and started apprehending the accused persons. Likewise, the accused were arrested from Falaknuma, Red Hills, Kukatpally, and finally at Ananthapur of Andhra Pradesh state where the victim was also rescued without any harm to the victim.
The Cyberabad Police have arrested Seven accused persons and have duly seized the Innova Car, Bolero Car, Indica Car, Seven Cell Phones, Toy Pistols, Rope Bundles, Cellophane Tapes, and Burkhas used in the commission of the offense by the accused.
The Commissioner of Police applauded the work of all officers of entire teams including SOT, Shamshabad Zone L&O teams, CCS teams for their tremendous work and rewarded them suitably.
The Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad has released an Advisory to the public in order to maintain security standards. The Advisory is as follows:
- a) Do not disclose your financial status while dealing with unknown persons.
- b) Do not get into financial dealings with unknown persons.
- c) Before letting out the residence for rent, please verify the antecedents.
- d) Install CCTV cameras inside the residence (common area) as well as outside facing the road.
