Anantapur: In Anantapur district, Puttaparthi Mandal, the banks of the Enumulapalli lake have encountered some damage and the police have done repair works to prevent losses due to the damage.
Farmers are expected to suffer losses by the leaking of water from the Enumulapalli lake due to the recent rains if in case the lake is broken down, the paddy fields will drown. Moreover, there is a chance that the villagers of Kovelaguttapalli will suffer. The police who have overtaken this accident and have taken the matter to the attention of Puttaparthi DSP Mr. Ramakrishna IPS. The police have prepared to take pre-measures for the construction of the lake. The DDRF teams have reached the area under the supervision of RSI Mr. Rajasekhar Reddy from the district police headquarters.
The Police personal have brought in sandbags and have blocked in the area where the mud has slipped due to the leak of the water from the lake. Despite having trouble putting sandbags in lake water, police have worked hard with ropes, balloons, and plastic covers to stop the leaks. The repair works have been completed and the expected leak from the lake has been arrested by the timely action taken by the police.
