Karnataka, Mangaluru :Area familiarization exercise conducted at Bunder(North) and Pandeshwar(South) limits done today. Commercial areas, residential areas, religiously important areas, traffic bottlenecks during peak hours were assessed keeping in mind safety of women and elderly. Areas covered broadly are State Bank ,Bunder ,JM road, Khandathpalli, Kudroli, Jodupalli ,Alake ,Balaji junction ,Car street, Central Market ,Clock tower ,KB katte and,KS Rao road. Team led by Commissioner Shashi Kumar along with DCPs Hariram Shankar and Vinay Gaonkar were accompanied by ACP Jagdish, Inspectors Govindaraju, Mahesh Prasad, Jyothirling and Lokesh. It comprised of close to 30 staff including station staff, traffic staff and CCB staff.
