Rachakonda: Sanghmitra – Empowering of women to fight against crime continued in Rachakonda Commissionairate limits at Ibrahimpatnam by Police & RKSC on the occasion of National Girl child day.
The Day 2 of SanghaMitra at Ibrahimpatnam was a successful event with over 200+ participants. The event was organized under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Rachakonda Mr. Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat IPS.
ADCP – She Teams Rachakonda Mrs. Salima IPS lead the program along with 40 police officials along with SHO Ibrahimpatnam PS Mr. Saidulu and SI Mr. Venkatesh.
The highlight of today’s program was Vice Chairman of Rachakonda Security Council (RKSC) Mr. Dassgunalan was present to conduct the program along with RKSC Women’s forum Jt. Secretary Ms. Latha Ram, SanghaMitra Lead Ms. Archana Manne, Women’s forum members Ms. Savithri M, Ms. Rajani N, Ms. Siva Karadi. Ms. Nandita, Ms. Prathiba Pavan, volunteers Mr. Pavan, Mr. Ch Chitharanjan, and Ms. Swarna.
Mrs. Saritha Bhumika Coordinator, MV Foundation Coordinator J Bhaskar Goud, Dr. Hima Sindhu Gynecologist, Municipal Chair Person Mrs. Kappari Sravanthi Chandu, 9th ward councilor Mrs. Nallabolu Mamatha, 12th ward Akkula Mamatha, Polkampalli MPTC Mrs.Manga, Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Eliminedu Harshavardhan Reddy, Raipolu Balvanth Reddy, Nerrapally Bhaskar Goud, Cherlapatelguda Geeta, Naganpally Jagan, Kappapahad Hamsamma, Agapally Jangaiah, Dharmannaguda Bhashyam, Gaddam Mallya Gudda Srinivas Reddy, Mr. R Saidulu SHO Ibrahimpatnam and Staff, SHE team 40 members graced the event.
Around 200+ enthusiastic women and men participated in the awareness session. The day started with an Icebreaking informative clubbed with fun games which were well received by complete participation from the audience. The program was entirely interactive. The woman shared their personal experience and acknowledged that “change is the need of the hour”
Information on the Rachakonda security council and the initiatives are driven by the women’s forum including the current program SanghaMitra was detailed by Latha Ram, Jt security Women’s forum. Sarpanch Harshavardhan Reddy addressed the gathering and motivated them to be aware of the laws and regulations of women and children and also encouraged them to implement “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao”.
On the Eve of the National Girl Child Day, a pledge was taken by the audience to educate their girl children and eradicate the evil of child marriage from society. The children specifically were also called to take a pledge to abide by the laws and regulations. Dr. Hima Sindhu, Gynecologist and MV Foundation Bhaskar Goud created awareness and educated them on the ill effects of child marriages and their associated damage to both children and the society at large.
ADCP Mrs. Salima IPS have instilled confidence in the police system and has reiterated and emphasized helpline numbers which will help them to handle any situation. Bhumika Foundation Penal Coordinator Saritha explained gender equality and the various kinds of violence prevailing in the society and the support system available including psychological counseling, shelter homes, and legal facilities for them to overcome the harassment.
About 40+ have registered for the upcoming SanghaMitra training. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr.Das Gunalan and the National Anthem.
