Hyderabad: On 02-02-2021, on the basis of credible information the Crime Staff of Kulsumpura Police Station apprehended one accused person who is involved in the theft of idols from Temples of PS Langer House and PS Kulsumpura and recovered Brass coated Metal plates of gods from their House.
Details of the accused are as follows:
A1- Santapuram Siddesh alias Siddu alias Nani, S/o.Mr.S.Kistaiah, age 27 years, Occ: Labour, Caste: Dhobhi, (BC), R/o. Deen Dayal Nagar, near ABN Andhra Jyothi Channel, Film Nagar, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad N/o.Kasim Bowli, Amdapur Village, Moinabad Mandal, Ranga Reddy District.
A2- Mrs. S.Sujatha, W/o.Santapuram Siddesh, age 27 years Occ: Housewife R/o. Deen Dayal Nagar, near ABN Andhra Jyothi Channel, Film Nagar, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. (Absconding)
The Properties recovered from the possession of the accused are:
- One Brass coated wall hanging of God Laxmi Narasimha Swamy (pertains to Cr.No.242/2020 U/s.380 IPC of PS Langer House)
- Broken pieces (17 Nos.) of the Brass coated metal plate of Lord Naga Devatha with Katta Maisamma (pertains to Cr.No.12/2021 U/s.380 IPC of PS Kulsumpura)
- One Mobile Phone.
The accused A1 married A2, since then they are childless. Some-one suggested that: If performing pooja of Lords Naga Devatha idol with Katta Maisamma idol and Lord Narasimha Swamy by keeping their idols in home, they can be blessed with children. As such, they hatched a plan to commit theft of Narasimha Swamy idol or Idol plate as well as Lords Naga Devatha idol with Katta Maisamma idol or idol plate. On 11-12-2020 they both gained entry into Sri Kovela Ranganayaka Swamy Temple, in Nanal Nagar, Salarjung Colony under the limits of PS Langer House and committed theft of Brass coated wall hanging of god Laxmi Narasimha Swamy (subject matter of Cr.No.242/2020 U/s.380 of PS Langer House) and on 18-01-2021 they both came to Katta Maisamma Temple, New Road of Jiyaguda and committed theft of brass coated metal plate of Lord Naga Devatha with Katta Maisamma idol from Katta Maisamma Temple, Jiyaguda (subject matter of Cr.No.12/2021 U/s.380 IPC of PS Kulsumpura). The Accused S.Siddesh is being produced before the Hon’ble Court for judicial remand.
The raid and arrests were made under the supervision of Mr. A.R.Srinivas, Deputy Commissioner of Police, West Zone, Hyderabad, Mr.M.Narender Reddy, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Goshamahal Division, Hyderabad by Mr. P.Shankar, Inspector of Police with the assistance of SIs Mr. V.Satyanarayana, Mr.L.Abhishek, along with crime Staff of PS Kulsumpura, Hyderabad.
