The SP said that the novel initiative of Community Police Officers (CPOs) launched in January had started yielding satisfactory results. The crime rate had fallen in rural and urban areas, he added.Through 4,500 CPOs, they are trying to establish a people-friendly police administration, the SP said. He said it was the duty of people to protect red sanders trees. He said, with the coordinated efforts of all departments involved, we can achieve zero smuggling and fully protect the Seshachalam forests.
