The Victor of Basantar bids adieu. Lt. Gen. W A G Pinto PVSM (Retired) passes away on 25 March 2021 at the age of 97. The former GOC Central Command fought in World War II, Sino-Indian war 1962, and led 54 Infantry Div to victory in the battle of Basanta Indo Pakistan war 1971.
