NEW DELHI: Miscreants shot dead a Delhi police constable when he chased them after they had snatched a bag from a woman in Shahabad area yesterday. DCP (Outer) Vikramjeet Singh said, “Head constable Anand was on duty chasing three unidentified miscreants who had snatched the bag from a woman in Sector 5 industrial area around 9.30 PM, when he was shot at”. The constable, who was posted at sector five police chowki in Bawana, spotted the snatchers near Samosa Chowk in the area and chased them following which they fired at him, police said. Anand sustained bullet injury on the chest. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead.]]>
