Tiruvannamalai: A bus service, route number-234, from Arani to Thiyagaraya Nagar in Chennai was launched on 22 August by the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation. The Villupuram division of TNSTC operates the bus that would ply via Poonamallee, Guindy and Saidapet. Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Minister Sevur S.Ramachandran flagged off the bus on its maiden trip from Arani on 20 August, Saturday. During the inauguration of the bus service, District Collector (in charge) Mr S. Palani, Cheyyar MLA Dusi K. Mohan and Arani Municipal Chairperson Anandakumari Karunakaran were among those who were present.]]>
