Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Traffic Police on 24.5.21 conducted a Road Safety Awareness drive at Press Light Point and labour Chowk, Chandigarh. Citizens were educated about safety helmet, use of seat belts, use of the cycle track, importance of lane driving, no honking, and the drivers of motorized & non-motorized vehicle were also educated not to stop or park at the Yellow Box marking area near the entry of slip road to give free passage for the vehicles turning left & not to block the extreme left lane and give space to the vehicle taking slip road for going left through this campaign.
The Traffic Police said a Good Samaritan is a person who, in good faith, without expectation of payment or reward and without any duty of care or special relationship, voluntarily comes forward to emergency care to a person injured in an accident. The police have appealed to the public to be Good Samaritans without being afraid of the Law as the law now has guaranteed the protection of the Good Samaritan.
