Siliguri: Today evening, acting on credible information officers and men of Bhaktinagar Police Station detained one drug peddler namely Dilip Roy alias Budharu aged 53 years, son of late Achkanta Roy of Biswas colony, Matigara Police Station at Gandhinagar under Bhaktinagar Police Station. During the search of the person observing the legal procedure under the NDPS Act, 253 grams of Brown Sugar were recovered and seized from the exclusive possession of the accused Dilip Roy, and the accused person has been arrested and taken into custody.
The value of the seized contraband drug is approximately 17,00,000/=(Rupees Seventeen Lakhs only)
A specific case is being initiated under proper sections of the NDPS Act and the accused person will be forwarded to the Ld Court tomorrow, with a prayer for Police Custody.
