Chennai: Based on the complaint of victims, 3 cases were registered under the POCSO Act and Women Harassment Act in Mamallapuram All Women Police Station, and a case was registered against Mr. Siva Sankar Baba for sexually harassing students in his Sushil Hari International School at Kelambakkam on the outskirts of Chennai. The cases were transferred to CBCID by the DGP, Tamil Nadu for further investigation on 13.06.2021. CBCID took up an investigation of these cases.
During the course of the investigation, accused Siva Shankar Baba was arrested on 16.06.2021 in New Delhi and brought to Chennai, and remanded to Judicial Custody. Subsequently, another accused Sushmitha who aided the accused Siva Shankar Baba was arrested on 18.06.2021 and remanded to Judicial Custody.
